His parents changed his age as he was creating his forums account.

Your parents probably don't want your real information to be public.
Like age, birthday, name, etc. So in that case doesn't seem like a bad issue.
Some parents are overprotective so that might be the case.

My parents are also overprotective. They don't even know about this website so that's a good thing.
