What initially made me choose OPBlocks as my skyblock server of choice years ago was the sheer enthusiastic abundance of everything you could do, and how non-grindy and welcoming it was. It was so much easier, more deluxe and more fun, than any other server.
It really felt like playing skyblock in a candy store, and the OPBlocks candy logo (the one you see above) felt really appropriate.
That's been changing, though.
Last season, I wasn't happy with the implementation of the skill points tree which made unlocking McMMO abilities suddenly much harder. The server felt less fun, but I played anyway. Now this season with the addition of the grind (literally, /grind. At least the name is honest.) making it hard to even complete tier 1 player quests(!) it feels like playing Skyblock through a straw, and I don't have any of that sense of joyful candy-store-abundance anymore when I play Skyblock.
(By the way, I changed my Minecraft username to Raised_on_Radio.)
