This thread is not to incite hate
This thread is more so trying to do something.

Post after post
Thread after thread,
OPBlocks members leave.
Once an excited player hyped for the return of an amazing server,
Now a disappointed player.

Why?

Updates.

A server gets stale after weeks. There needs to be new content in order to attract more players. This was the reason of the downfall of the old OPBlocks. Not Crainer. Not anything else. Updates.

"You need money to make updates." "Updates cost money."

If you make good updates, you get more in return. It's called an investment.

"The developers are already extremely busy."

Well if you're paying the developers and getting nothing back from donations, you should probably hire more developers to get the job done, in return achieving a larger player base as well as more donations.

Any other feedback I'll try to answer.

I'm making this thread because I genuinely love OPBlocks, and even though I quit Minecraft recently, the server's community has kept me in.

You can't just 'hire' new developers. You have to work for OPBlocks for 2 years before even considering becoming a developer. Most of what you said is true though

I don't quite understand, OPBlocks hasn't been out for 2 years yet.
If you're including PrimeMC, then that means you're implying a developer can move from Prime to OPB. (After 2 years, the staff can work for OPB?) If hiring new developers is not possible, transferring some from Prime would be great. At the moment, it's quite easy to see a lack of effort being put on such a hyped server.

That's a pretty awful business plan, if it's true.

Developers can and should be hired based on their abilities, not their tenure with an organization. Minecraft isn't rocket science. It's java.

YOU, YOU HAVE BEEN RANTING ABOUT THIS? I would love to see the proof. I have made at LEAST 20 posts about this so don't complain but +1
You're never in teamspeak? I'm constantly going on about it, you need to chill with accussing people of stuff that's false before you have the full picture. You could have said "do you say this in teamspeak or the forums" before automatically I was talking about the forums.
