Ok people, rant time.
TOPIC: Why they should shut the server down and, as I've already mentioned, give up already.
To begin, it's clear to everyone that a majority of people on the staff team, manager included, has lost total motivation. This server has had a LOT of great potential in the past, but honestly, the BIGGEST mistake EVER made was the decision to merge OPB with prime. It totally sunk the player count and destroyed an amazing community which was in place. Alex (trkey) may of had his reasons to do this, but in the end, it proved a mistake.
Once OPB and prime split again, for about the entire of v2, there was a decent playerbase. People were happy, management was good (credit to Zapexy there), the staff team was motivated, and lots, LOTS more. Overall, this was a wildly successful version.
V3 was mediocre, and quite honestly, lost a LOT of players. I believe we had Tuxx as the manager for the majority of it. Keep in mind, he was an administrator at prime as well as two other servers at the same time. This has been a huge issue throughout the history of the server; there's almost nobody who's willing to solo manage it, they gotta be doing multiple servers at once.
V4.. Don't even get me started. V4 was fun, yeah, but the playerbase was dead. Not a lot to say other than that trish was a good admin and basically ran everything. Sorry amazing but you were useless.
V5. We got people again, we were happy for about 3 weeks and then trainer left. Server died and it was V4 but worse. Factions were fun, they really should have kept them going.
V6 - I don't even want to talk about v6, it was just such a disaster.
After a little history, here's my main topic.
V7 has arguably been the worst version this server has seen yet. We have the least motivated staff team in history, a super inactive manager, and more. It's a failure, V7 is a total and complete failure. Whether or not people can accept it is out of the question, since it's a fact.
I will argue that the one biggest issue this server has had is maintaining a healthy playerbase without hiring a large YouTuber at all times. Look at the info, every successful version has either had crainer or several smaller youtubers at once.
So what I'm proposing? Give up. This server has seen good times and bad times, but its at it's end. It's over, and like I said, whether or not people want to accept that doesn't matter, since it's the truth. Here's exactly what needs to happen.
1) Server totally and completely shuts down.
2) Active and helpful staff members are offered a spot at either The Archon or Prime, two of alex's servers.
3) Server files are saved in case well, you know, we have another v2 again.
4) Cookie is given an administrator position at prime, a server that arguably has more potential than this one, and can succeed with the proper management.
5) We say goodbye and accept that it's time to move on.
