Please stop expanding OPBlocks

I want OPBlocks to stay the way it is.
What am I talking about?:​

Releasing more servers will do nothing but divide the community. It'll be a loss overall, regardless of how many donations you make in the first few days of the server release. @Amazing I, along with many other community members, am begging you to keep OPBlocks the way it is. Please do NOT turn it to a network. Adding factions was cool, but it split the prison community right in half. I'm terrified it'll be the same way with the addition of a new (less popular in my opinion) Survival server.
If Survival thrives - Prison & Factions lose members one way or another.
If Survival dies - OPBlocks is viewed as another "semi-dead" network, comparable to prime.
It's a lose lose situation for the community. I joined this server in the first place because it was focused on one game mode, a small and joinable community. Networks don't offer that same kind of comfort.

Edit: I didn't hit on Skyblock. I understand a lot of the community would actually love to see skyblock added.​

when i joined opblocks it was only 4 Prison servers fun and kind people and like optic said if this server wants to be different don't go add more modes i have seen more servers die because of death sides on the server.

I honestly agree tbh. I would like for them to add skyblock because literally everyone wants it, but I don't think they should add anything else unless they plan on doing massive advertising.

At first, I will not lie, I was sceptical of factions. However it has been working well, the server is still doing well. Prison has slightly lost numbers, but only because of Crainers departure from Prison.

The server, after all, is a business. The aim of any business is to make a profit. So it is advantageous to pump out new content to attract new players. (Factions, new players who had never been present before)

With the release of survival, the server can cater to that particular player base. Which could be highly beneficial to the server, it might not though; that's the risk of any development in a business.

There are those who say this is just for money, the server needs money since after all the server does need money to operate. Peoples wages/lively hood depend on this servers success, so if they would want this server to succeed financially it's understandable

So I currently like the way the server is progressing forward into.

Like I said on some other thread, don’t make this Prime V2.Prime is dying because they tried to succeed in 5+ game modes, and although for a while they did have a good player base, people left because all the servers were boring and there was nothing special about them. The same will happen here if we add too many game modes. Prison succeeded well because of the candy aspect and since it was the only game mode, all staffing time went into that one server. If we add more gamemodes staff (developers and managers) won’t be able to put enough time into each individual game mode to make it different than other servers.

OpBlocks is pretty much forcing different gamemodes on the player base....literally I haven’t even gotten used to OpBlocks having factions. It’s created so much toxicity and hatred towards different people. Also you’re tearing apart the staff team and all the players. The players from v3+ pretty much all left or quit because priso has no new updates that are good. In my opinion, OpBlocks shouldn’t become another prime mc.

I really didn’t want to do this but ARE YOU BLIND. Literally everyone wants Optic as staff. No one hates him and he has a good reputation. If you’re that desperate for staff that you needed to get Rose to staff who hasn’t staffed here since 6 months ago then why didn’t you promote Optic or someone else. Or just start Rose as a helper? She’s new and has NO IDEA what the current rules are. I don’t think you understand how staff applications work. They’re here because you wanted the player base’s opinion on the next staff. Well that didn’t happen twice in the past 3 months. Thanks a lot? No offense to Rose and Luigi, but it would’ve been more acceptable and calmer if you got the main players opinions before you just randomly call in someone. I actually enjoy their company. The circumstances are below average.
Luigi and Rose didn’t apply. Maybe she could’ve gotten -1 from everyone. BUT YOU DIDNT CARE. This just shows how you didn’t care about our opinion. You started Rose out as a freaking MOD. In my opinion there are a lot of helpers that are better than her and up to date. I’m pretty pissed off because you’re not taking any feedback from the players and you’re just adding random Sugar and gamemodes.
Like, NO ONE WANTED THE OTHER GAMEMODES. You just overall seemed introverted and oblivious from what the players actually want. Luigi is barely active anyways and Cookie is doing a lot. The players barely know Luigi because he only talked to certain people that certain people absolutely despise. Like, not to offend anymore but OMFG stop making updates that players don’t want and actually hear our voice.
I’m pretty close to staff...obviously. They all said to me that either they don’t have the authority or just are afraid for their Fudgeing life. No one wants to be demoted.

Like. stop. Actually hear our voice and get to know us. We want to be heard. Not all of us are idiots.

I joined opblocks about a year ago in v4 and after playing for a while i donated for kuncher rank and the server used to have only 10 players constant i agree survival will die and just kill the server i dont see the point just keep adding new plugins to the 2 games we have the server is great but it still has plenty of room for improvement

Youa re right cookies been staff as long as i can remember since i started and has been one of the most influential reasons i donated because knowing that there was staff that even if i was toxic they weren't toxic back but just made it a joke and made it funny thats something that makes me like the staff on this server

When i first joined Opblock, i really liked the fact that it's only a prison server. It was clear that there was a lot work being done in order for it to succeed.
Then came factions. This took away the updates from the prison server and the focus was mostly on factions. Not to mention the player base being split even though there's barely 100 players on.
So here's my feed back, you want more game modes, fine i dont even care BUT if you're going to do half work on every single one of them then you will get nothing but a big explosion in your face.

@Amazing You're supposed to be listening to us, the people who keeping your server alive. Don't and lets see how long you will keep this up.

ps. the fact that there was no more prestige rewards didnt bother me as much as you pretending to care to add more. I would have been fine with you admitting there are none more to be added.

Also: Just, just stop with the servers. The general consensus is to actually update Prisons (and factions too ig) and don't add survival. This is a business? Want to make money? Instead of leeching off the people who buy CGod on every server just because they can, add new content to attract more wallets to Prisons and Factions. The only servers that I can see being added (and actually working) are Skyblock and MAYBE kitpvp, but with actual kits... not giving all the donors P4 diamond. Sure that keeps the donors but chases away non-donors.

Prison = tight community = good.
Factions = hella toxic = good for most players .
survival=cancer there are too many of those, if you want survival play the single player mode, it'll fail = bad.
skyblock = eh, some people might play if there are actually decent plugins = maybe.
kitpvp = dead on every server.. it won't work = bad
more decent youtubers = good, daddy crainer dipped
more quality, active, liked in the community, industrious, and non-bias staff = good, vry gud


don't make decisions as staff, make decisions as a community. remember, half the staff input doesn't matter unless players agree. listen to the community and watch your server grow, even a little, without relying on youtubers. cof cof @Amazing

You obviously don’t know what a business is if that’s how you’re going to use the word.

The only way a business can be successful is if it’s making the customers happy. If it’s not what the consumers what, then the consumers aren’t happy, therefore the business fails. Factions attracted at most 20 players that weren’t from crainer. 20 players? You call that successful? Do everyone a favor and don’t go into investments management.

If you want the server to succeed, then do what the players want. If you don’t then your precious little business will go flop and this will be prime all over again. Prime failed because they didn’t listen.

I don’t even know why I care. I’m guessing it’s because you annoy me with everything you say. God it seems like you went from baby to adult the day your app was accepted.

Done with my little rant. Yet again, don’t know why I care.
