If it ends in a tie, I agree that you shouldn't loose your streak. In duels, there should be a boarder that slowly comes into the middle, so even if they try to run, the boarder will eventually push them to the middle allowing you to get the kill.

Well it looks like this is happening all over the place and it's going to be impossible to find the original post. Still, copying and pasting something as your own is not right, even though it is a nice guide.

This was a great tutorial. It's very interesting how the bot works. If you have /fly on one account, couldn't you just go in and hit it and fly above while you kill it with your alt? Maybe having it attack the nearest player after every hit would make the boss more fun and challenging to fight.
