Lately I see more and more news about DeFi hacks and stolen funds. Do you guys actually use any tools or platforms that help protect assets, or is it still mostly about being careful and hoping for the best?

I had the same concern recently, especially after seeing how often exploits happen. While researching, I came across https://lossless.cash/ and found their approach quite interesting. They focus on detecting suspicious transactions and even freezing stolen funds. It feels like a more proactive way to deal with security instead of reacting after losses.
